These collaborative initiatives involve different asset classes, ESG approaches, and various sustainability issues. With a focus on guidance, and how Asset Owners work with their external managers. Tom has substantial industry experience, having worked in investment management, and with asset owners on ESG incorporation and climate solutions. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Liverpool, an MSc in Development Finance from the University of Reading, and an MSc in Environmental Economics & Climate Change from the London School of Economics. Along with several investment and ESG qualifications with the CFA and CISI.

Andrew has around 30 years’ experience in the investment industry beginning with an investment research role at JBWere/Goldman Sachs which evolved to include research on ESG issues as they relate to investment. Andrew joined AustralianSuper in 2011 and since that time has been responsible for developing AustralianSuper’s ESG and Stewardship approach in its investment portfolio. As part of this role, Andrew considers issues such as board effectiveness, remuneration, climate change, work force and diversity and how they impact on AustralianSuper’s investments. Andrew also oversees AustralianSuper’s voting on its listed equity holdings and engagement program with company boards.

Biography
Nor Idzma Hassim heads the Sustainable Investment Centre at EPF, established to drive sustainable investment initiatives, in line with the organisation’s commitment to the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment in 2019. She led the development of the EPF Sustainable Investment Framework that resulted in the launch of the EPF Sustainable Investment Policies, as well as targets for a fully ESG compliant portfolio by 2030 and a climate neutral portfolio by 2050. She spearheads efforts to integrate these policies across various asset classes to enhance the investment decision-making process within the organisation, with the goal of delivering sustainable returns and value to EPF members. Alongside her team, she collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective consideration and management of sustainability factors in the EPF and the broader capital market.

Toshiyuki Imamura has been the Head of the Responsible Investment Department at Nomura Asset Management since 2016. With more than 25 years of investment experience, he has served in key roles such as Head of the Investment Planning Department since 2013 and Head of Nomura’s investment fund research and consulting arm in London office since 2008. Imamura joined NAM in 1994 and spent 12 years in global equity portfolio management, including three years at NAM’s New York office starting in 2003.

Kate Turner is Global Head of Responsible Investment at First Sentier Investors. Based in Sydney, Kate is responsible for defining and delivering our strategy globally. Prior to joining First Sentier Investors, Kate was an Associate Director at Sustainalytics leading its business in Australia and New Zealand, and has previously held roles at ICBC Standard Bank Plc in London and Baker & McKenzie in Sydney. Ashley Daswa is a well-rounded investment professional possessing experience in asset allocation, portfolio construction and embedding sustainable and responsible investment within portfolios. He has proven record of accomplishment, with over a decade experience in the investment management industry. Ashley is currently a Senior Investment Specialist at Sanlam Corporate Investments. Before re-joining Sanlam, he worked for Old Mutual Investments Strategy team where he was responsible for asset allocation and integration of responsible investing within the investment processes with special focus on alternative assets. He also worked in companies such as Aequalitas Capital Partners, Impact Amplifier and State Street. Wren is an Investment Director at the McConnell Foundation, where she leads the foundation’s impact investing work. Since joining McConnell in 2022, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the foundation’s new investment strategy which commits to transitioning the entire endowment to 100% impact investments by 2028. Prior to McConnell, Wren was an Investment Director at Big Society Capital, the UK’s leading social impact investor, where she co-led BSC’s impact property investment work, helping to demonstrate the significant role that private investment can play in tackling the UK’s housing affordability crisis. Wren is currently a Director’s Scholar at the University of Oxford completing her MBA and is a graduate of the London School of Economics (MSc) and McGill University (BA, Joint Honours).

Ann-Sofie is Director of Sustainability at Brummer & Partners and advises all investment managers in the Brummer group on sustainability matters such as responsible investment policies, ESG integration, sustainable finance regulation, active ownership activities, and reporting and communication. She is also a member of Brummer’s Responsible Investment Committee which sets the strategic direction and priorities for the group’s sustainability activities. Ann-Sofie joined Brummer in 2008 as Executive Advisor and has held various positions, such as Head of Investor Communication & Sustainability, before focusing on responsible investment full time since 2016. Prior to joining Brummer, she was a compliance consultant at Kinetic Partners focusing on the finance industry. Previously, she was an analyst for a private equity fund focusing on financial institutions. Ann-Sofie has 20 years’ experience in the finance industry of which 10+ years in RI/sustainable finance. Hilde is Chief Investment Officer since 2020 at Cardano, with focus on public markets since 2023. Hilde is chair of the DUFAS Sustainability Committee and is volunteer in the Sustainability Committee of CFA Netherlands. She started her career in 1994 as portfolio manager at AXA Bank in Belgium, later at AXA IM and she became a portfolio manager for European Equities at ACTIAM in 2003 and Head of Equities in 2011. She obtained a Master of Science degree in Business Engineering from KU Leuven.

Michal Bartek, CFA is responsible for leading PRI guidance workstreams on listed equities. He started his career as a sell-side research analyst in the 1990s at NatWest Markets, but spent most of his professional investing career actively managing global equity portfolios at New Star Asset Management in London using fundamental analysis of economies, sectors and individual issuers. His focus was Europe and emerging markets. Prior to joining the PRI he spent five years developing the CFA and CIPM curricula across topic areas at CFA Institute. He is economics graduate of the London School of Economics and he obtained Masters degree in Finance from the London Business School He is CFA charter holder and also holds CFA UK’s Certificate in Climate Investing and ESG Investing Certificate.

Throughout his career at the firm, Tom has been a leader and champion for helping clients invest their portfolios for impact and mission alignment. He helped launch and has continuously worked to advance the firm’s Sustainable and Impact Investing (SII) Platform, a global team that enables clients to cultivate high-caliber and sustainable investment portfolios. Prior to joining the firm, Tom served as an analyst with Agora Partnerships, investing impact capital in Central America, and as a consultant to the World Bank, where he evaluated educational investments in Brazil. He began his career in technology marketing, served two years as a Team Leader in AmeriCorps NCCC, helped launch the ZOOB play system from start-up stage, and spent four years as the Director of Program Development for KaBOOM!, a community-focused non-profit. Catie joined abrdn in 2020 from the UN PRI where she was an Investment Practices consultant. Catie has worked at BlackRock and before that at SWIP where she was an Investment Director on the Global Equities team, responsible for the management of European equity fund mandates. Catie started her career at Kempen Capital Management where she launched and ran the Sustainable European Small cap fund. Catie graduated with an MA Hons in English and Italian from the University of St. Andrews in 1999 and an MSc in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling in 2003. Elisabeth Vishnevskaja, CFA, is Head of Fixed Income at the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). As part of the Guidance team, she is responsible for the development of practical tools for PRI’s signatories relating to fixed income investment practices. Her career started over 20 years ago in the bond index research team at Lehman Brothers. She then moved to the “buy side” working as a fixed income product specialist at Lehman Brothers Asset Management / Neuberger Berman (in Hong Kong), UBS Global Asset Management, BlackRock and Fidelity International. Representing bond investment strategies to institutional clients has inevitably resulted in a greater focus on ESG. This was part of the role she enjoyed which led her to join the Climate Bonds Initiative in 2021as Head of Partnerships and then the PRI in November 2023. Elisabeth holds a Masters Degree in Asset Management from Université Paris Dauphine – PSL and she is a CFA® charter holder.

Toby Belsom has spent 30 years in fund management, ESG and investment research at Aviva Investors, Henderson Investors, UN Principles for Responsible Investment and ShareAction. His first financial sector role in 1996 was as an analyst on one of the leading ESG teams in Europe. He worked with the same team for over 10 years before moving to a listed equity portfolio management role for a further 10 years. Over the last 5 years he has managed a 12 strong team at UN Principles of Responsible Investment which develops market guidance to support signatories across asset classes and strategies in their response to regulation such as SFDR and commitments such as net zero. Recent publications have covered responsible investment in venture capital & private debt and human rights & private markets. His team is also develops content for PRI’s annual reporting framework. Sacha Sadan is the Director of ESG at the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority). Facilitating the UK financial regulator to embed ESG across the wide spectrum of regulatory activities and reporting to the CEO. He has been named a City Influencer by Financial News as one of the biggest 25 names who have been instrumental in shaping the UK’s financial services industry, and has also recently been appointed an Honorary Professor at the Alliance Manchester Business School at The University of Manchester. Previously Sacha was Director of Investment Stewardship (10 years) and on the board at LGIM, one of the world’s largest asset managers. Sacha had responsibility for investment stewardship, including environmental, social and governance (ESG). He was recognised in the Financial Times as one of ‘the 30 most influential people in the City of London’. Sacha was previously a UK equity portfolio manager at Gartmore. He was voted the top-rated Pan European fund manager in the Thomson Reuters Extel awards. He started his career at Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) pension fund. Maria Clara Rendon is a noted responsible investing specialist, with more than 12 years of experience in the assessment and management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in a wide variety of industries. Her work focuses on the implementation of responsible investing practices by asset owners and managers in both North America and Latin America. As Director, Responsible Investing at University Pension Plan Ontario (UPP), Maria Clara supports the development and execution of UPP’s Responsible Investing (RI) strategy. She works closely with internal and external partners to ensure a seamless integration of ESG factors into UPP’s investment process and implementation of stewardship practices on behalf of over 37,000 UPP members. Michael Eisenberg is a Partner and co-leads ERM’s ESG & impact value creation team globally. He most recently worked at the New York State Common Retirement Fund where he was Head of ESG Integration with a particular focus on private equity, infrastructure, private credit, and special situations asset classes. In addition to working closely with the Fund’s investment teams on ESG due diligence and post-investment monitoring, he was also responsible for the development and execution of the Fund’s net zero by 2040 strategy for private markets. Before his time at New York Common, Michael worked at the consulting firm K2 Integrity, which focuses on governance and social risk advisory services for investors and other financial institutions. During his time in their New York and London offices, he led the corporate strategy function, spearheaded the development and launch of new service offerings, and provided investment due diligence services to clients in the US and EMEA regions. Michael is a senior private markets sustainable investing fellow at the World Economic Forum and is the lead external instructor for ILPA’s ESG For The LP course offering.

Scott Zdrazil is Principal Investment Officer at the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA), which manages about $80 billion in assets in a defined benefit plan and other post-employment benefits on behalf of over 185,00 members and beneficiaries. He leads LACERA’s investment stewardship strategies which aim to protect and promote financial performance, including corporate governance initiatives, financial market policy advocacy, global proxy voting, and investment due diligence and analytics of financially relevant ESG factors. He previously chaired the Council of Institutional Investors board, has served on the United Nations-affiliated Principles for Responsible Investment Private Equity Advisory Committee, and has been named to the National Association of Corporate Directors’ Directorship 100 list. Zdrazil serves on the International Financial Reporting Standards’ (IFRS) International Sustainability Standards Board Investor Advisory Group and is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance. Zdrazil was previously First Vice President at Amalgamated Bank and Director of Strategy and Corporate Engagement at the New York City Comptroller’s Bureau of Asset Management, implementing stewardship initiatives on behalf of the New York City Retirement Systems.
